PRESCRIPTION REQUESTSWe require 2 FULL WORKING DAYS to prepare your paper or electronic prescription as per NHS standard. This excludes procurement and dispensing time which is subject to separate clinical and safety standards.  You may not request items which are not on your repeat list due to local health policy restrictions in that items which are used occasionally and are available at a pharmacy must be purchased at a pharmacy, whether you are exempt or not from prescription charges. We encourage patients to register for SystmOnline prescription ordering. Just ask a member of our reception team.

Patient Participation Group (PPG)

A PPG is a Patient Participation Group and the people involved are a group of patients registered with your own GP Surgery.  They have no medical training but have an interest in the services provided.  They work in partnership with the medical centre to ensure that there is a good relationship between patients, GP and other professional staff.  The aim of a PPG is to represent patients’ views, support diversity and to work in partnership with the medical centre to improve common understanding; help patients to take more responsibility for their health; contribute to improvements of services and quality of care and work towards better and improved communications.

We currently have about 12 PPG members who meet at the surgery in the evening every couple of months. It was agreed with the current members that we should keep the group to a reasonable size to be effective. Therefore anyone wishing to be involved in the PPG or who wants to know more should contact the PPG by email at info@lbppg.co.uk.

Minutes from the PPG meetings are available to read on the Minutes tab on this web page.

The PPG also produce a regular newsletter which can be found on the Newsletters tab on this web page.

If you would like to apply to join the Long Bennington patient group you can download the sign up form as a pdf document, print it out, complete it and return it to us and we will notify the PPG of your interest.
