PRESCRIPTION CHARGES: The government announced an increase to the NHS prescription charge of 20 pence, to £8.60 per prescription item from 1st April 2017.

EXTENDED HOURS SURGERIES: We offer Extended Hours appointments from 6.30pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

PRESCRIPTION REQUESTSWe require 2 FULL WORKING DAYS to prepare your paper or electronic prescription as per NHS standard. This excludes procurement and dispensing time which is subject to separate clinical and safety standards.  You may not request items which are not on your repeat list due to local health policy restrictions in that items which are used occasionally and are available at a pharmacy must be purchased at a pharmacy, whether you are exempt or not from prescription charges. We encourage patients to register for SystmOnline prescription ordering. Just ask a member of our reception team.

Please note: our clinical system has changed and you will need to re-register for online prescription ordering.

Morning and evening surgeries are held each weekday. Open surgeries are held every morning. Patients presenting between 08:30 and 10:00 will be seen in turn. Mondays and Fridays can be very busy, if your problem is not urgent and you feel the waiting time may be too long please feel free to attend on another morning. Evening surgeries are by appointment only.

Urgent problems may be seen on the same day but not necessarily by the doctor of your choice. Appointments may be made by telephone, in person or by using our online service. If you wish to speak to a receptionist in private, please ask to use the interview room. If you require a chaperone please speak to a receptionist and they will arrange this for you.

Extended Hours Surgeries

Extended Hours operates on Tuesday and Thursdays evenings. There will be a GP consulting and a receptionist. There will be no dispensary in operation during these surgeries. These clinics offer a combination of routine face to face and telephone appointments between 18:30 and 19:30 which, whilst available to all, may be specifically suited to patients who find it difficult to attend during normal hours. These clinics do not provide an emergency service.

Branch Surgeries

We no longer have branch surgeries at Allington Village Hall or Marston Village Hall.

If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to offer the slot to someone else.
